Terminate Child Support Order

Terminate Child Support Order

If you’re reading this page, you know first hand that it’s almost impossible to terminate child support. I want to be blunt, you can’t terminate support because your income has lowered or because you lost your job. It simply doesn’t work that way. On the other hand, if the custody situation has changed and the child/children are now living with the non-custodial parent, you can, through the Court, terminate child support and modify your custody order.

Another common reason to terminate child support is because the child has graduated from high school or is older than 18 years old. Face it, the attorney general doesn’t move at the speed of light and many times it takes an experienced McKinney child support attorney to stop wage garnishments.

So, before this gets out of hand call my office at  for a consultation. I offer consultations Monday-Friday from 8am to 6pm so stop the confusion today!
